Sweeney's Cruises

boats

We currently have 5 passenger boats operating all year round, including the Astina, the largest passenger vessel on Loch Lomond, the Silver Marlin, the Lomond Duchess, the Lomond Sunrise and the Glen Falloch.

Astina

We comply with all the stringent standards of the Maritime Coastguard Agency who make frequent inspections of all our vessels.

The Astina was bought in Antwerp in 2004, where she plied the canals there. A Belgian crew sailed her to Inverness where the Sweeney family took over for the remaining part of the journey on to Loch Lomond. The Astina is currently the largest passenger boat operating on Loch Lomond. It's size and spacious upper and lower deck allows for great flexibility in organising various functions.

The Silver Marlin has a luxurious interior with mahogany panelling, deep buttoned upholstered seating, thick piled carpeting and a large, and well stocked bar gives the lower deck a Captain's Table atmosphere. The perfect setting for your special events.

The Lomond Duchess, The Lomond Sunrise and The Glen Falloch are smaller boats than the Silver Marlin and the Astina and offer a more intimate setting. They are suitable for 60 - 80 passengers.

All boats are up to or exceed Maritime and Coastguard Agency recommendations.
